So true in this day and age.

iPod nano commerical

I think it looks awesome, and it’s pretty much the shuffle with a screen I’ve been looking for, ever since I got a 2G shuffle.

Ladies, look at your code. Back to mine.

Awesome! This was submitted to Fuck Yeah Computer Science! by Me!

Ladies. Look at your code.

. return Iterables.filter(
… . employees,
… . new Predicate<Employee>() {
… … public boolean apply(Employee e) {
… … . . return e.isPartTime();
… … }
… . });

Now look at mine.

. return Iterables.filter(employees, {Employee e -> e.isPartTime()});

Now back at your code.

. return Iterables.filter(
… . employees,
… . new Predicate<Employee>() {
… … public boolean apply(Employee e) {
… … . . return e.isPartTime();
… … }
… . });

Now back to mine.

. return Iterables.filter(employees, {Employee e -> e.isPartTime()});

Sadly, it isn’t mine.

But when it stops using inner-class-scented Java and switches to JDK 7, it could smell like mine.

Look down. Back up. Where are you? You’re in an IDE, with the code your code could smell like. What’s in your hand? Back at me. I have it. It’s a lambda expression, with two arguments of that type you love.

Look again: the lambda is now a method reference!

. return Iterables.filter(employees, Employee#isPartTime);

Anything is possible when your code smells like fresh new JDK 7 hotness and not inner classes. I’m on a horse.

The 13th Doctor
For Warren’s WhiteChapel Remake/Remodel. ( freakangels.com/whitechapel/comments.php?DiscussionID=882… ) The good Doctor is now in a vague military type jacket with a T-shirt underneath, that ideally changes logo/style each episode, showing off something cool and British or, I don’t know, Sciency. And he’s addicted to sucking on lollipops. K9 is now a know-it-all cyborg Pomeranian.

Rock Band in the year 2030…

Oh look - the Doctor stopped by at MIT recently. I would say that the last time he probably visited this place was when the sentient robots played a prank on the human faculty staff in 2257.

And he probably helped. ⎝⏠⏝⏠⎠

So Wolfram|Alpha knows a bit GLaDOS? Hmm, that’s interesting - maybe they both share secret cake recipes, and hide the cakes from test subjects.

That was joke, Haha. Fat chance.

P.S. - The Cake is a Lie

I MAY OR MAY NOT BE IRON MAN

Just got back from the movie theater where I watched the epic of epic epicness that is Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. The movie frakking rocked - it rocked so very, very much.

This movie is so awesome it’s now in my favorite Top-10 movie list.

By now I have:

Bought and read all 6 Scott Pilgrim books (plus the “Free Scott Pilgrim” extra).
Bought both the complete soundtrack and the original score to the movie including all bonus tracks.
Watched the movie!
